Jack, the proposed Kroger and Albertsons merger would be a disaster for working people. It would drive out the competition, increase prices, create food deserts, and put union jobs at risk.

If allowed, the newly formed Kroger-Albertsons mega-corporation would be comparable to Walmart in size. Less competition in the grocery market will increase bills when Americans are already struggling with inflation.
The Federal Trade Commission can and must intervene and stop this massive corporate merger!
Labor unions, produce growers, antitrust experts, state attorneys general, and members of Congress, including Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, oppose the merger and are calling on the FTC to stop it. The agency needs to hear from you, too.
