The 7.8-magnitude earthquake that recently struck near Gaziantep, Turkey (Türkiye) is one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded in the country.

The situation is about as dire as you can imagine. An important hospital completely collapsed with health workers and patients trapped inside. It's just one of thousands of buildings that have been leveled.

Rescue workers and frantic family members are sifting through rubble, desperately searching for any survivors -- but frigid winter temperatures and frequent aftershocks are hindering their efforts.

From deploying a K-9 search and rescue team with partners, to finding access points to move aid, and mobilizing emergency health kits with vital medicines and supplies, Project HOPE teams are at work saving lives... but we need your help.
