This week, it was my honor to attend President Biden’s State of the Union address.

John,

This week, it was my honor to attend President Biden’s State of the Union address. My guest last night was Niko, a college student at Western Connecticut State University who works at the college radio station WXCI 91 FM. Niko was selected by his peers to represent the school as an emerging leader at the university radio and newspaper. Being able to uplift young talent like this is truly at the center of who I am.

The State of the Union was inspiring. We celebrated so much since last year’s SOTU; we passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, reduced healthcare premiums, and capped the cost of insulin to $35 for seniors on Medicare. We cracked down on inflation, passed the PACT Act to support veterans, and passed key gun safety legislation. We created over 800,000 manufacturing jobs, the strongest manufacturing recovery since the 1950s.

We have created an economy that works from the bottom up and the middle out to support EVERYONE. There's nothing we can't do when we come together as Americans, and I'm so excited about what we can take on this year.

Together, we can commit to made in America supplies as we rebuild and create good-paying American jobs, raise teachers’ pay, fight inflation Together, and ensure that every community has access to affordable, high-speed internet. Together, we can pass the PROAct and support good-paying union jobs, which are the backbone of our economy. Together, we can ensure every single worker has access to paid leave to heal and be with their families without sacrificing financial security.

Yes, we can create an America that works for EVERYONE, no matter where you live, what you look like, or what you believe. We are a nation that chooses unity over division.

We’ve done so much, and together, we have so much yet to accomplish, John.

I’m fired up from President Biden's speech, are you? Chip into my re-election fund to ensure that my campaign has all that we need to run in this “frontline” district, one of the most contested in the country!
