Dear John,
From March 21st to 23rd, Oregon’s environmental community is going to make a big, virtual splash! The legislative session is heating up, and that means it’s time for us to gather (virtually) and meet with Oregon lawmakers! Can you join us? [RSVP: [link removed]]
The Clean Green Lobby Machine is back, with just a few changes this year. But a few things won’t change. You will still get a chance to meet with your lawmakers. You will be able to tell your story and urge decision-makers to prioritize the environment and climate change this legislative session. And, it will be a great time with your fellow environmental and climate advocates!
What’s different? Rather than an entire day on Zoom, we are breaking it up over three days. We hope this will reduce the Zoom fatigue, and increase the effectiveness and fun!

On March 21st, we will kick it off with an evening training and presentations on all our priorities. Then, your lobby day meetings will be held either on March 22nd or March 23rd, depending on where you live. You should plan to hold the entire lobby day you are assigned since we don’t know yet the time of your meetings. However, it will end up only requiring two one-hour blocks of time. We are starting to schedule your legislator meetings now so RSVP today! [[link removed]]
At the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) and Oregon Conservation Network (OCN) lobby days, we will advocate for the top environmental priorities facing lawmakers in Salem right now: Building Resilience (healthy and climate-friendly homes and buildings), carbon sequestration on forested and agricultural lands, a moratorium on new and expanded factory farms, better protections from toxic chemicals, reducing plastic pollution, and ensuring necessary funding for our natural resource agencies. We will also be a voice to stop some bad environmental bills from passing!
For the safety of all involved and because of construction at the Capitol, the entirety of the OLCV/OCN Lobby Day will be held virtually over Zoom. We are committed to always trying to make our lobby day as effective and enjoyable as we can. So, we hope the new approach of spreading it out over three days will make it even more accessible for you to join us.
We didn’t let the pandemic stop the return of the Clean Green Lobby Machine, and we won’t let Capitol construction stop it either! RSVP today for the OLCV/OCN Virtual Lobby Days on March 21st to 23rd! [[link removed]]
Thank you!
