Participants will be able to:
- Define herd immunity
- Understand the child/adolescent vaccination schedule
- Identify the required immunizations for students to attend school

- Understand where to locate the state immunization registry and know how to access a student’s immunization record.
Upon completion, participants will receive 1.0 NCPD contact hours, and there is no cost for NASN members. Learn more.
| School-Based Telehealth Can Enhance Student Health Outcomes | |
Telehealth can expand and enhance access to school-based health care, but its use has been relatively limited. Previous studies have demonstrated that it can be an effective alternative strategy. However, almost all research has focused on a single telehealth service. The JOSN article, Overview of School-Based Telehealth Network Grant Program Services Delivered to Students in Rural Schools, adds to the research by elucidating that telehealth in schools can address multiple clinical conditions through individual services.
NASN members receive a digital subscription to JOSN, with current and previous articles indexed online.
