John,
Everything has gotten more expensive! That means more of your money goes toward food, gas and utilities. And all that extra money you pay to fill up your tank goes straight into Big Oil’s pocket. The five biggest oil companies combined profit for 2022 equals a little over $196 billion!
When millions of Americans are struggling against rising costs, it’s obscene that big corporations greedily take advantage of consumers to maximize profit.
It’s time to curb the profiteering that has helped drive the steep price increases that are crushing consumers. Demand that Congress move forward with a windfall profits tax on big corporations.

High prices are having the biggest impact on low-income families that are already struggling to make ends meet, and are often on the front lines of the pollution that oil corporations spew.
At Food & Water Watch, we won't stop fighting for a future free from Big Oil’s pollution and greed. That’s why we’ve joined with over half a dozen other groups to call for an end to these corporate abuses.
Let’s make a show of force and tell Congress: No more corporate profiteering on consumers' backs! It’s time to tax Big Oil’s profits.
