Today marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and legacy. Did you know it is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service? When you think about his legacy it makes perfect sense.

He never ceased to inspire the country to be part of a better world. A world devoted to securing justice and strengthening humanity. What better way to honor him than to do everything we can to improve our communities?

That’s why I’m running for Congress. I want to give a voice to the voiceless. ([link removed]) For too long, NY-12 has been represented by an out-of-touch corporate-backed politician. NY-12 deserves TRUE representation by someone who recognizes this district is made up of more than just the rich and powerful. 50 years after MLK’s assassination, there is still more work to do.
