John,
Tuesday's mini cabinet reshuffle was not a Government preparing to
tend to the pains of a country broken by inflation, a collapsing NHS
and Brexit; it was a Conservative Party preparing itself for the next
election.
Our Wavering
Wall report made it clear that a Labour victory next election is
not guaranteed and, for people like Ceri,
Frank and Sandra, the painful reality is that a party with no
majority from the British public can still be handed the keys to
Number10 for another five years unless we fix our broken voting
system:
The Tories have doubled down on their attack on the vulnerable by
making Lee Anderson MP their deputy chair, giving huge campaign
responsibilities to a man who:
- Blames people who depend upon food banks to feed their families
for having a 'budgeting problem’
- Refused to support the England men's team after they took the knee
in unity against racism
- Supports the return of the death penalty
This government is not looking to mend and unite the country after
the damage of the last decade - it's prepared to divide and antagonise
us to cling on to power.
Best for Britain supporters know that a voting system that truly
reflects the will of the British people will put progressive parties
in the seat of power and keep MPs like Lee Anderson away from the
front line of politics.
Sign
our open letter to the Labour Party to demand that they back
electoral reform and give us a voting system that truly reflects the
needs and character of our country.
Best wishes,
Cary
