Do you remember when you were a teenager and someone asked you want you wanted to be? Chances are, the person who asked you was your school counselor. Today, California public schools average a ratio of one guidance counselor for every 500 students, more than twice what is recommended by the American School Counselor Association. That’s what makes a partnership with Fulfillment Fund so vital. Our College Counselors are on-site to collaborate with the staff at our partner schools to ensure that every student sets goals for their future.
Our entire Programs team guides students through the obstacles standing in the way of their success. We are constantly asking our students the right questions to ignite important conversations and offering ways to support them in reaching their success — whether it’s our College Counselors supporting high schoolers in taking their first steps to make higher education a reality, or our College Success Advisors ensuring our college students persist and are on the right path to building the career of their dreams. |

 A Volunteer’s Journey
Back in 2016, Michael Wilson knew he wanted to give his time to support young people’s education. A friend recommended he look into Fulfillment Fund, and he quickly began his volunteer journey with us. He has been involved in mentoring, served on committees, stepped into leadership positions, and created a paid internship for our students at his company. Read more about Michael’s journey.

 How to Ignite Meaningful Conversations
We hosted a webinar about New Year's resolutions, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Our team utilizes innovative techniques to ignite conversations with our youth that lead them into deeper trust discussions about their challenges so we can help them surmount these obstacles.  Career Speaker Series Returns
During the last week of March, we’ll kick off our annual Career Speaker Series, which exposes high school students to professionals and their fields of expertise. Back for a third year by popular demand, these panels help students think about their majors in the context of careers. Thanks to the support of wonderful volunteers, we’ll host ten panels in diverse fields. More details to follow.
