John,
Progressives are on the move. Just listen to this:
“After the November 2022 midterms, the [progressive] caucus now claims an all-time high of 103 members — nearly half of all House Democrats.” “Along with such policy wins as including $1,400 stimulus checks and expanded unemployment benefits in 2021’s American Rescue Plan, the CPC has helped shape the Democrats’ national priorities and economic playbook under the leadership of Rep. Pramila Jayapal…” |
We passed the Inflation Reduction Act because we pulled out all the stops and leveraged our collective power — successfully lowering prescription drug costs for millions of Americans, taxing the rich, and kickstarting real climate action. We know how to win, and even though we may not hold the House right now, you can bet that our progressive coalition will continue to fight with everything we have.
Despite the GOP gaining control of the House, the midterms proved that our bold and progressive agenda resonates with the people. We will not stand by while Republicans try to overturn our fundamental rights, gut life-saving policies, and undermine our democracy.
Our strategy to build a more progressive and inclusive movement has been successful in delivering results for working class families across the country. Now we will defend these hard-fought victories. Can we count on your support to pitch in $3today as we continue to build our progressive coalition?
Our movement is sustained from the ground up, with support from people like you all over the country, proving every day that there’s a better future worth fighting for. We have to maintain the pressure, or else our movement won’t be able to achieve the wins on healthcare, childcare, labor, immigration, and more that we desperately need.
The road ahead will be challenging and difficult but my determination to push our progressive agenda will never slow down. Our grassroots campaign will continue to grow, as long as you believe in our work and stay in this fight with me. Will you stand with me today, and chip in to power our movement?
In solidarity,
Pramila
