Introduction of the Reimbursing Border Communities Act of 2023

Last week, I introduced the Reimbursing Border Communities Act of 2023. Biden's blatant failed border policies have left our border communities on their own to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border. Our border communities should not be paying for Biden’s America-last agenda. That is why I introduced this legislation to reimburse our border communities for the security expenses they spend to combat a crisis created by the Biden administration. We need security above all else at the border; strengthening our border communities is the first step. Read the full bill here.

As the only Aggie in Congress, it was a true honor to have Brigadier General Patrick Michaelis stop by last week to discuss exciting initiatives that A&M has on the horizon. This helmet has found a new home in my office! Gig 'em!

Last year, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador decreed that his country would end imports of most American-grown corn into Mexico. President AMLO's ban on American corn will perpetuate food insecurity issues for the citizens of Mexico - while punishing American farmers that rely on the biotech innovations that allow them to feed and fuel the world in the most efficient way possible. As the Representative of the number one corn-producing Congressional District in Texas, I will continue to fight for policies that put our farmers first. President AMLO must abandon these efforts immediately; this is a lose-lose decision for both countries. Click below to read the full letter:

Biden's Blunder of the Week: Chinese Spy Balloon

Years ago, the notion of a Chinese spy balloon infiltrating and traversing the entire U.S. would have been deemed insane, but that's exactly what happened last weekend as the Chinese successfully sent a spy balloon across America before it was finally taken down over the Atlantic. This is a devastating blow to U.S. security and a triumph for the Chinese. As our leader, Biden has a paramount duty to defend the American people. His failure to immediately shoot down the balloon upon its entry into U.S. airspace has put us all at risk and is a grave embarrassment for the nation.
