Help save our brothers and sisters in Turkey and Syria

Assalamu Alaykum, Greetings of Peace,

As many of you know, an earthquake struck Turkey on Monday, February 6^th, 2023, had a magnitude of 7.8 quake, that has led to destruction in Turkey, Syria and bordering countries. As of now, the death toll has reached almost 11,000 individuals.

As a Syrian girl that grew up during the Syrian civil war and had to leave due to the war, I am reminded of the family and community members that could not leave, that have not only had to endure a civil war, but are now enduring an earthquake that is one of the deadliest earthquakes of the century.

I was taught that “No one gets left behind”, and I grew up carrying this with me through my life, and my work.

I ask all of you to donate whatever you can to organizations that have actively been working to provide relief and aid to the Turkish and Syrian people affected by the earthquake. I ask that you keep those affected by the earthquake in your prayers and Duaa's, and I ask that you do not leave my people behind.
