Thank you for your faithful partnership with Unto® and your generosity to feed hungry families living in the toughest places on earth. Last year you helped provide meals for nearly 600,000 individuals. Local staff teams and partners personally distributed the meals to families. They also built relationships and shared the eternal hope of Jesus when the time was right.


Your generosity impacts people like Leisha* who lives in a small apartment with her husband, three children, and niece. When life became really difficult in their Middle Eastern country, her brother-in-law abandoned his daughter and went back to his homeland. Leisha refused to leave the little girl on the streets and took her into their family.


Two years ago Leisha’s husband was injured and has been unable to find work. The family cannot afford medical care for him. They cannot even afford electricity for their apartment. The children work on the streets selling tissue boxes to help with basic expenses.


When local Unto team members visited the family, their apartment was completely dark. They talked to Leisha over the glow of flashlights. Through tears she explained her family’s situation:
I wish my kids could have a normal life. I don’t wish for them to work, but what can we do? Our situation led us to this, and it breaks my heart.
Before leaving the local staff team provided Leisha and her family with meals and also directed them to a clinic that could help her husband. They were so grateful.


She told our staff members:
Today you made my day. Thank you for coming. Thank you for the food. You have no idea how much this will help us. This means a lot to us.
The team also had the opportunity to share the eternal hope of Jesus, and Leisha joyfully responded to the message. They continue to follow up with her and her family.


Your generosity expresses the kindness of Jesus to families like Leisha’s when they need it most. Because of your support they are receiving lifesaving meals, and they are hearing about the hope Jesus gives.
