On Tuesday night, President Biden got in front of Congress for the State of the Union and made no promises towards peace. This Valentine’s Day season we ask members of Congress, “Where is the love?” 



Not in the weapons–drones, tanks, missiles and ammunition– sent to Ukraine to escalate an unwinnable war that must be resolved at the negotiating table before the warmongers annihilate the human race. Certainly not in the billions of taxpayer dollars funneled to bomb makers.

Weapons only kill people. War ends by sitting at the negotiating table without pre-conditions.



Here's how Congress can lead with love: 



💖 Cut the Pentagon budget!  



Biden said he wants to "cut the deficit" during the State of the Union, but didn't pledge to cut war spending. Where are those cuts coming from if not from social programs that keep working people afloat? Love means cutting the Pentagon budget and investing in healthcare, housing, and education!



💖 End the war in Ukraine. 



President Biden didn't express that diplomacy was how the war would end. Sending bombs isn't rooted in love for humanity. Biden & congress being willing to push hard for diplomacy is the only thing that  will save lives and end war! 



💖 Collaborate with China.



Biden touted competition with China in his remarks. A multi-polar world is a more peaceful world. We need to be collaborating with China to save the environment and lift people out of poverty, not provoking war! 



Congress now more than ever needs to hear our calls for diplomacy.
