With new rules in effect, I urge you to ensure you are collecting information about your charity’s related party transactions. Related party transactions guidance Our fact sheet on related party transactions outlines what they are, and what to keep track of. 2022 Annual Information Statement The 2022 Annual Information Statement due date for charities that operate on a standard financial year (1 July to 30 June) has now passed. If you have not submitted your charity's AIS yet, it is overdue. Log in to the Charity Portal today and submit now to avoid potential penalties. If your charity operates on a calendar financial year (1 January to 31 December) you have until 30 June to submit your 2022 AIS. Q. We want to start fundraising, but we don’t know who to report it to. Does ACNC need this information? A. The ACNC does not collect details on fundraisers or provide any licence to fundraise – we only ask how much revenue you bring in by donations or fundraising in the Annual Information
Statement. Q. I forgot to submit my charity's Annual Information Statement - what should I do? A. Submit it as soon as you can! Even if it is overdue, you can still log in to the Charity Portal and submit it in the regular way. There is no need to call us or email us. Just submit it via the Charity Portal as soon as possible to avoid potential penalties or compliance action.

To remain eligible for registration, charities must meet ongoing obligations. Each time a Responsible Person (a committee or board member or trustee) commences or resigns from their position, you must notify us. Learn more about notifying the ACNC.
