Did you watch the State of the Union last night?

I’ve had the privilege to attend a few of President Biden’s speeches at this point and this one had some major differences.

1. It was disheartening to see Kevin McCarthy sitting on the dias. Losing the House Majority continues to frustrate me, not just on a symbolic level, but on a daily basis when it comes to legislating. Which leads to difference two…


2. Extremist Republicans were out of control. The screaming, the jeering. It got so bad that even Kevin McCarthy had to tell them to hush. And these are the people I’m supposed to pass Appropriation bills with? It’s a tense environment right now.

We deserve better representation than this. We HAVE to take back the House Majority. Will you please donate now to help us put adults back in charge?

Unfortunately, this is what happens when we lose elections. Republicans beat us in a bunch of seats (including here in California) that we could have won. And now, we’re sitting in the minority, and having to sit and watch this kind of chaos. I really hate it.

So, we have to do something about it! As someone who knows how to win a close race, I’m telling you we have to get started right now if we’re going to take the Speaker’s gavel away from Kevin McCarthy and get back to actually helping people.
