John,
Last night, President Biden boldly and emphatically laid out his agenda to benefit children and families.
From refusing cuts to Social Security and Medicare, to restoring the full Child Tax Credit, expanding access to early childhood learning, and capping the cost of insulin to $35 for every American -- not just those with Medicare -- President Biden has heard our calls to put families first.
While we applaud the president's bold policy plan for the next two years, we also know that there is much more to do to uplift the most vulnerable among us.
While the president was able to get every member of Congress to rise in support of defending Social Security and Medicare, congressional Republicans are still using the debt ceiling to try to extract cuts to critical programs including Medicaid, nutrition, education, and more.
House Republicans have a narrow majority. That means we just need a few members to join with us in protecting critical programs for working and low-income families.
It’s an uphill climb, but we know that with your support, we can make it. Chip in $5 to defend funding for Medicaid, nutrition, and other critical programs, and fight for President Biden’s agenda that puts children and families first.

Two years ago, our country was still reeling from the aftermath of a deadly attack on our nation’s capital and COVID was still raging through our communities. We have made much progress in the past two years and there’s still more we can accomplish. Together.
Thank you for all you do,
Deborah Weinstein Executive Director, Coalition on Human Needs
