Dear Friend,
Last night, I was honored to hear from President Biden during his State of the Union Address about the incredible economic progress we’ve made over the past two years to deliver for our families in New Mexico and across the country.
Together, we passed expanded health care for our veterans, climate action legislation, bills to cut prescription drug costs for our elders, and historic economic investments in manufacturing and our STEM economy.
I heard about these accomplishments with my honored guest, Dr. Liudmyla Yakovenko, who my office helped evacuate from Ukraine and reunite her safely with her husband in New Mexico. Dr. Yakovenko’s story inspires me with her resilience and determination, while also symbolizing our deep commitment to the Ukrainian people as they defend their democracy and their freedom. Dr. Yakovenko is one of the over 500 constituents who my office has helped as part of our federal casework program.
Alongside Dr. Yakovenko, I was inspired by President Biden’s call to action to keep working for the American people—and now I want to hear from you about your priorities for New Mexico and our country.
