New Solicitation: Research and Evaluation on Trafficking in Persons [ [link removed] ]

In collaboration with the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), NIJ seeks to build upon its research and evaluation efforts to better understand, prevent, and respond to trafficking in persons in the United States. Applicants should propose research and evaluation projects that have clear implications for criminal justice policy and practice in the United States. NIJ seeks proposals for research and evaluation projects addressing the following topical areas:


* Research and evaluation on human trafficking victim assistance and service provision.
* Research on forced criminality.
* Human trafficking prevalence estimation.

Applications proposing projects that are outside of these three areas will not be considered.

Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each with its own deadline:


* Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov [ [link removed] ].
*Grants.gov, Deadline*:* April 24, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET*
* Submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants [ [link removed] ].
*Application JustGrants, Deadline: May 8, 2023, at 8:59 p.m. ET*

Applicants must register with Grants.gov [ [link removed] ] and JustGrants [ [link removed] ] prior to submitting an application.

This solicitation is competitive; therefore, NIJ staff cannot have individual conversations with prospective applicants. The following application elements must be included in the application to meet the basic minimum requirements to advance to peer review and receive consideration for funding:


* Proposal Narrative.
* Budget Web-Based Form. (The web-based form includes the budget details and the budget narrative.)
* Curriculum Vitae/Resumes for Key Personnel. (For purposes of this solicitation, ?key personnel? means the principal investigator, and any and all co-principal investigators.)
