Join the Bureau of Justice Statistics for a webinar on February 22, 2023, 1-2:30 p.m. ET. This webinar will provide an overview of methods for calculating variance of estimates from complex sample designs, including direct and indirect methods. It will focus on two methods for calculating direct variance estimates: Taylor series linearization (TSL) and balanced repeated replication (BRR). The panel will use SAS and SPSS to demonstrate the methods with examples using data from the National Crime Victimization Survey.
