Fellow Conservative,
Georgia’s economy has broken record after record over the last couple of years – and our robust growth has resulted in a massive budget surplus.
Using those one-time funds, last year we got the job done to provide much-needed inflation relief for Georgia taxpayers with a $1 billion tax cut and another $1 billion in income tax rebates.
This year, we’re doubling down on this commitment – the Georgia House of Representatives just approved my budget recommendation that includes ANOTHER $1 billion income tax rebate and a $1 billion property tax rebate!
This income tax rebate will amount to $250 to $500 per taxpayer, and the average Georgia homeowner will also receive around $500 in property tax rebates.
I will continue making smart investments this year to strengthen our state’s workforce and fully restore the HOPE Scholarship to help more students pay for college.
I’d encourage you to read more on my 2023 budget priorities HERE >>>
Thank you, as always, for being part of Team Kemp.
I’m counting on your support as we work to get my plan across the finish line this session.
Brian Kemp
Governor of Georgia
