Susan Collins is disappointed. She’ll do just enough to protect her seat. What else is new?

John —

What’s happening in the Senate isn’t a trial. Mitch McConnell is doing everything in his power to rig the impeachment process for Donald Trump—and Susan Collins will go along with him, because even when she puts up a brief protest, history shows she will follow Mitch McConnell in the end.

You don’t have to be a lawyer to know this isn’t justice. In a democracy, a trial means evidence, witnesses, and an impartial judge. When Mitch McConnell announced he’s coordinating with the White House counsel, it was as outrageous as a jury foreperson announcing they’ll coordinate with the defense attorney.

This process is about our democracy—it’s much bigger than politics. Sadly, it’s clear that Susan Collins would rather give herself political cover and stick with Mitch than do the right thing. Donate to our campaign and fight against Mitch McConnell’s sham trial. >>>

We need leaders who aren’t afraid to stand up to Trump. We know Susan Collins, however “disappointed” she may claim to be, is not that leader.

Join Ross and fight back against Susan Collins and Mitch McConnell’s attempt to help president Trump escape accountability for abusing his power.
