It’s Election Season, and we would love for you to run!

GLASS benefits from new and diverse ideas. Visibility is important, and we encourage all to run. If you’re even thinking about running, just do it already!

February 17, COB: Candidate Declaration Statement Due

February 20 to 27: Election Period (more details to come)

February 23: Meet the Candidates Happy Hour (more details to come)

Nota bene: You must be a current U.S. Senate employee and have paid your 2023 Calendar Year Dues to vote and run for the GLASS Caucus Steering Committee.

What you need to do:

Submit your name, Senate employment office, headshot, and a brief paragraph explaining why you’d like to serve on the Steering Committee and what you would like to accomplish.

GLASS Spotlight: Darian Clay- Burrell

Darian Burrell-Clay is a Legislative Assistant for Senator Gary Peters (D-MI). After more than three years of working on health care, education, and labor policy, he is departing to join the Government Affairs team at the Children’s Hospital Association. Before his time in the Senate, Darian worked as a Grant Writer in the non-profit sector and a Development Fellow for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He also completed internships with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Darian is a Michigan native, a proud graduate of Florida A&M University, and a taco connoisseur!
