We don’t have to tell you how important Wisconsin is when it comes to elections. It’s a major tipping point state for control of the presidency and Congress.

That’s why we’ve worked in Wisconsin for years, helping recruit candidates to run for office and to boost their rural county parties to help Democrats win more elections.

But in just a few days, we have the best opportunity in Wisconsin we’ve had in years – flipping the currently-conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court. Because it’s a “non-partisan” office, the top two finishers in the primary will move on to an April general election. And with two progressives in the race, we have a chance to guarantee a flip of the court no matter the outcome of the general election.

Thanks to gerrymandered districts rubber-stamped by Wisconsin’s rightwing Supreme Court, Republicans have ripped power away from Democratic statewide elected officials, nearly eliminating reproductive rights and passing voter suppression laws every year.

If we flip the court, we can restore reproductive rights, voting rights, and, finally, pass fair maps in Wisconsin – with the chance to turn it completely blue like neighboring Michigan.

We’re about ready to launch our GOTV texting to make sure progressive voters return their ballot by mail in time, vote early, or have a plan to vote on Election Day. We need to make sure at least one progressive candidate advances past the primary.

But that also means if we don’t raise the resources we need, conservatives could lock out both progressive candidates in the primary.
