Our current school CEO Dr. Monica Goldson, has announced her retirement. County Executive Alsobrooks will be looking to find her successor soon and we want our community to be involved in that process. Our community deserves a school CEO with whom we’ll have the utmost trust and confidence in and we believe the process for selecting this new CEO should be shared with the public.

We are urging the County Executive to orchestrate a search committee that consists of representatives from all the essential stakeholders. The CEO plays a crucial role in the functioning and success of our schools. They are responsible for setting the vision and direction of the district, as well as making key decisions that impact the education and well-being of our students. It is therefore essential that all stakeholders, including students, parents, school system staff, and community members, have a say in the selection of this important leader.
