John, last night, as President Biden rallied the country and the 118th Congress together, Republicans remained seated for a lot of issues that impact Americans.

Here are some of the things that Republicans couldn't be bothered to stand or clap for:

- Raising pay for school teachers
- Protecting Americans from corporate price gouging
- Ending gun violence and protecting our children
- Better healthcare for ALL Americans
- Reducing the deficit
- Job growth in America and making products in America

Not only did they take this time to keep their seats warm and show Americans who they support and who they don't, but they also had Sarah Huckabee Sanders give the official response: more fear-mongering, playing down the Covid pandemic, and attacking the LGBTQ+ community.

This is the modern-day GOP. The radical right IS the majority in the party. We already knew that they were after Social Security and Medicare, but it seems that their disdain for the average American and the support they need extends far beyond those social programs. The Republican party does not stand for America, period.

This type of callous nature and cruel policy position is exactly what we are up against. Can you chip in today and help us to show our support for the progress of this nation and for the every day American?
