Last night President Biden reflected on his first two years in office, laid out his vision for the future, and gave his report on the State of our Union.
I’ve listened to many State of the Union addresses, and I’ve never been prouder of what we’ve accomplished and our President’s vision for the future. After a successful 117th Congress, our work is now focused on making sure implementation reaches forgotten areas like the ones in our district.
In the last two years, we’ve been able to pass major legislation like the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Inflation Reduction Act that will make meaningful impacts on the lives of everyday Ohioans. I’m proud to be able to bring these investments home to my constituents and know that we’re moving forward together.
I’ve said it before, but I know that we can still get things done regardless of who has the Speaker's gavel.
From funding for job training in our schools or constructing the World War II Memorial to securing funding for a vegetable garden at a senior housing complex and holding back the Asian carp’s invasion of the Great Lakes, no project can be too small or too daunting.
I’m ready to keep up the work, and I’m glad you’re on my team alongside me as we work to deliver for Northern Ohio.
Thank you,
Marcy Kaptur
