They deserve an Academy Award, Jack. Or, actually, probably more like a Daytime Emmy.

Jack, House Republicans are trying to convince America that they've rediscovered their Tea Party ways, and that they're holding the Nation's economy hostage out of "principle." But their godawful acting is so easy to see through — they're trying to manufacture a financial crisis so they can claim their heartless spending cuts are the only "solution."
It's despicable, Jack, and it's sad. But ever since Kevin McCarthy utterly capitulated to the most extreme members of his caucus, these House Republican threats are have also become catastrophically dangerous.
