John, did you tune in to last night’s State of the Union address? In his annual speech to Congress, President Biden focused on his administration’s efforts to make healthcare more affordable. In fact, he specifically referenced the legislation I led in the House to make it ILLEGAL for pharmaceutical companies to gouge families who need insulin. President Biden and I both agree that this legislation must pass. As I’m fighting to pass this legislation, radical Republicans are fighting to stop it every step of the way. I need to show a groundswell of public support for our cause. Will you sign this petition calling for a universal $35 insulin cap? We shouldn’t be a country where working folks are forced to choose between putting food on the table and accessing medication that they literally can’t live without. The price of insulin has increased 600% over the last 20 years due to greedy pharmaceutical companies, and we can’t afford to let that trend continue. With President Biden’s support, it’s time for our grassroots community to step up and sign on as endorsers of this life-saving initiative.
