We had another GREAT week!
We canvassed registering three new voters and collected dozens of petitions to get on the November ballot.
Our December fundraising numbers turned some heads when we more than doubled our Republican opponents with an average contribution size just 1/4 theirs. Special thank you to all of our 522 individual donors who made it possible!

Not that we needed it, but we got another reminder of why state legislatures matter this week when Virginia, after recently flipping it's state legislature blue became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and FINALLY constitutionally guaranteed women equal rights in America.

Ron Desantis and I exchanged some tweets after he referred to voting as a "privilege" and not a RIGHT. He was defending his position trying to disenfranchise former felons from voting until 80% of them pay the 90% of fined & fees that experts testified are "non collectable" due to the economic hardship put on those we are trying to rehabilitate back into society.
Remember that war that Trump almost got us in? Yeah, it's been one of those weeks... again...
I was proud to stop by the Bloomingdale Library (the reddest precinct in FL59) for a pop-up protest against war with Iran. Thank you to all of you who made their voice heard and gave peace a chance.
Contrary to some rumors, I do from time to time put on a suit and what better time than to honor the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr at the Tampa MLK Day Parade gala.

The State Legislature convened for the 2020 session this week and already Republicans there are pumping out vile policies that hurt working floridians and sell us out to corporate interests.
