Did you catch President Biden’s State of the Union Address last night? If you did not watch it live, please take some time today to
watch his address here.
The President’s address showed us exactly what we have achieved in just the last two years. Through hard work, listening to Americans, and coming together, we have delivered the solutions and programs America needs to move forward.
Under President Biden’s administration, we have created 12 million jobs and lifted up working families because when working families win, America wins.
Now, believe me when I tell you that our work is far from complete. Last night, President Biden reminded us of the critical work that lies ahead of us. We all know of the debt ceiling deadline this year, but President Biden secured a promise from Congress last night that Medicare and Social Security cuts would not be on the table. I’m proud of that.
We need to continue lowering costs at the pump, pharmacy counter, and supermarket. That means strengthening programs like Medicare and Medicaid, bringing our supply chains home, and continuing to build up our economy.
President Biden told us last night how we’re going to get this done: Through unity. I know I will be working across the aisle, just as I have always done. There is so much to be done and we need to do it together.
