Last night, President Biden gave his first State of the Union Address to a divided Congress. During his speech, President Biden brought out the greatest hits: the list of accomplishments made during his first two years in office.

Bringing the nation out of a pandemic, creating 12,000,000 new jobs, unemployment at a 50-year low, signing key legislation like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the American Rescue Plan, the CHIPS Act, the PACT Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, accelerating the Cancer moonshot, nominating the first African-American woman to the Supreme Court of the United States, tackling the mental health crisis, fighting the opioid epidemic, and more. Put simply: Democrats in Washington have been delivering for us.

The president outlined the next two years during his speech. The progress we can make and the possibility it brings to the American people. Rebuilding the middle class – the backbone of our nation – police reform, banning assault weapons, moving on voting rights, and defending the right to an abortion.

We are at another inflection point in our nation’s history — and we must continue to restore the soul of our nation. It’s time to finish the job that Americans sent President Biden, Vice President Harris, and every Democrat in Congress to Washington to do.
