My name is Donna Deegan and I'm running to be the next Mayor of Jacksonville. I'm incredibly honored that Ruth's List was my first organizational endorsement last year during the heat of the 2022 election cycle. We're now six weeks from the election on March 21 and I'm asking for your help.
Jacksonville is the largest city in the United States without a Democratic Mayor. If elected, I will flip this seat blue, become the first woman Mayor in our city’s history, and show we can win in Florida. Jacksonville deserves a true leader with vision, not one who merely reacts. Our infrastructure is crumbling. We need better access to healthcare and an economy that works for all of us.
During my career as a trusted voice on the evening news, I survived breast cancer three times. Our community motivated me to create and lead a foundation that supports families facing breast cancer and a national marathon that raises millions for research. I'm bringing that same spirit to this race.
Together, with your support, I'll become the next Mayor of Jacksonville, and we will continue to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot who will protect our rights, champion our future, and deliver change for good.
