,
Something happened a few weeks ago at midnight on January 1st that isn't being talked about enough: the max out of pocket costs and deductibles for tens of millions of health care plans reset.
This means that if you visited a hospital on December 31st and received treatment the next day, you were forced to pay not one but two deductibles and two max out of pockets.
It even affects expectant mothers. All over the country, pregnant women are even trying to induce labor before the end of the year, since they can’t afford being charged twice.1
In the richest country on Earth, nobody should be forced to induce labor or meticulously plan their pregnancy around the day their deductibles reset. But under our current greedy, broken health care system, that’s exactly what happens.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Medicare for All would ensure that care is free at the point of service for everyone. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Bernie Sanders shares that vision. It’s why we endorsed him for president. And it’s why so many of us are fighting everyday — not only to elect him, but to win Medicare for All.

to stay involved in our M4A work, you can opt out of our 2020 emails here.
We don’t need to accept a punitive health care system like the one we have. We don’t need to settle for this reckless, corporate greed.
Together, we can — and will — continue to build a nationwide movement to win Medicare for All. Not just in the White House, but in the halls of Congress and in communities all across the country too.
In solidarity,
Nurses' Campaign to Win Medicare for All
