Governor Lamont Statement on President Biden’s State of the Union Address [[link removed]]

Posted on February 7, 2023

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont released the following statement in response to the State of the Union address delivered tonight by President Joe Biden:

“The progress we’ve made as a nation since President Biden reported on the state of our union last year could not be clearer. Through bipartisan cooperation led by the President, we’re rebuilding our economy, rebuilding our infrastructure and manufacturing base, and rebuilding trust in our government and institutions. The work is vital, it’s hard, and there is much more to do, as the President said tonight. The unity agenda he proposed in his State of the Union address will build on the remarkable success we’ve achieved over the last two years. I applaud his commitment to finishing the job he set out to do when he took the oath of office – restoring the soul of the nation, rebuilding the middle class, and uniting the country.”
