Friend,
On Friday, Ted wrote to tell you about a
letter he received from Devin Nunes' lawyer threatening to sue him if
we didn't apologize for saying Devin conspired with Lev Parnas to
undermine our government (if you missed it, you can see his note
below).
Well, Ted responded with a letter, and we want to make
sure you didn't miss it:
"I welcome any lawsuit from your
client and look forward to taking discovery of Congressman Nunes. Or,
you can take your letter and shove it."
Ted won’t let Devin
Nunes bully him. Devin Nunes is a threat to our country because of the
ways he's conspired with Lev Parnas and Donald Trump to undermine our
democracy.
Ted's never going to back down, but we need to show
him we have his back. Will
you chip in $100, $50, or $25 today so that Ted knows we're with
him?

Friend,
A few weeks ago, I sent an email out to all of
my supporters in which I wrote that Devin Nunes worked with Lev Parnas
and conspired to undermine our own government. It's entirely true, the
record backs me up, and I stand by every word. But Rep. Nunes is
afraid of the truth, so he's threatened to sue me unless I retract and
renunciate my statements and issue him a public apology.
Well,
Devin, I’m not going to apologize because the truth is a defense.
Bring it on. I look forward to deposing you in any
lawsuit.
Will
you donate $250, $100, or $50 today so we can show Devin that his
bullying won't stop us?
If the lawsuit moves
forward, here are some facts we can discuss:
Phone records show
that Devin Nunes spoke with Rudy Giuliani and Lev Parnas around the
time that they were orchestrating the smear campaign against the
former Ukrainian Ambassador, Marie Yovanovitch. Nunes denied ever
having known Lev Parnas, but after Parnas' explosive tell-all
interview with Rachel Maddow, he now admits that yes, they did
speak.
Call records reveal further contact between Nunes and
key figures in the Ukraine investigation, including one of Nunes'
former staffers. Nunes also allegedly traveled to Vienna in 2018,
where Lev Parnas' lawyer claims he met with corrupt former prosecutor
Viktor Shokin for the purpose of supporting Trump’s conspiracy against
the Biden's.
In the past, Devin Nunes has sued CNN, Hearst
Magazines, the Fresno Bee, four of his own constituents, and a parody
Twitter account. And
since I may be next, I’m hoping you’ll chip in whatever you can today
so we can elect representatives who spend more time fighting for
working people, and less time suing members of Congress and conspiring
to undermine our
elections.
Best, Ted
