Hi, I want to introduce myself -- I’m Rachel Petri, Sherrod’s new campaign manager.

I’m thrilled to be back on Team Sherrod! (I worked on Sherrod’s communications team during his 2018 campaign.) Fun fact: My first job with Sherrod was as an intern in his D.C. office.

This job is personal to me. I was raised in eastern Ohio -- St. Clairsville to be exact -- and graduated from Miami University.

After working as Deputy Campaign Manager for Senator Raphael Warnock in 2022, I’m proud to be working with you to re-elect Sherrod so he can keep fighting for our state. He’s a champion for all Ohioans. And our job over the next two years is to do everything we can, every single day we can, to show them he’s on their side -- always.

Make no mistake: This is going to be a tough race -- our toughest yet. We already have one opponent and several more are likely to join the race. The GOP has already launched attack ads targeting Sherrod. And so far, all the top analysts consider this race a toss-up. 

It’s only going to get tougher from here, but I am confident that together, we can ensure that Sherrod wins in 2024. I know tough races. So does Sherrod. And since many of you have been on Team Sherrod for a long time now, I also know you’re up to the challenge in front of us.
