Last week, I received my official committee assignments here in Washington, and I’m excited to share that I’ve been seated on the House Committee on Small Business.

I’m particularly proud to be serving on this committee because West Michigan is home to so many fantastic small businesses. From coffee shops to restaurants to stores, small businesses make our district a great place to live.

Whenever I’m back in West Michigan, I love to visit local gems – and visiting our residents and small businesses reminds me of why I stepped up to serve my community.
