Updates from the Ground in Turkey

Dear Friend,

Our emergency response teams are on the ground in Gaziantep, Turkey (Türkiye) the epicenter of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. This is truly a once-in-a-generation natural disaster that has caused unimaginable devastation to the region. The aftershocks have been frequent and are causing survivors even more stress and anxiety.

Temperatures are dropping below freezing and families are now without electricity and gas — even those who are fortunate enough to still have a home and roof over their heads are struggling to stay warm.

We must act now to save lives from this disaster: Rush your emergency gift to help deliver medical aid and other relief to families suffering in Turkey and other communities in crisis like Ukraine.

Our immediate focus will be distributing health and hygiene kits, supplying medicines and medical supplies, and supporting reconstruction efforts for health facilities that have been damaged. We are continuing similar efforts in Ukraine, Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic and need your help to continue our global work to save lives.
