AMPLIFY THE SPEECH ON SOCIAL MEDIA

During the event, official Democratic Party social media accounts will be live posting highlights and talking points from the president’s message that will need amplification and engagement (i.e. likes, comments, retweets, shares, etc.). To ensure you don’t miss any of the content that is coming out, please follow all of our accounts ahead of the SOTU and be prepared to monitor them while the event is taking place. Amplifying this content will help validate the president’s message as relevant for your respective caucus/council. 

These platforms are a great place to easily connect with not only family and friends but also colleagues and members of your caucus or council. You can add individuals from your social network to a direct message thread where everyone can share and amplify relevant SOTU content coming from accounts they are following. Each person can be assigned an account to monitor and share content/information back with the rest of the group.

After the event, relevant content will continue to be shared through our official social media accounts. You should continue to monitor these accounts in the days, even weeks following the event and amplify the content by continuing to share it with your social networks.
