Catherine Reitman Spills All ([link removed])
We’ve got something fun for you today, here in the depths of February: Scary Mommy’s inaugural Sex Issue. We’re pretty proud of this one! It’s got everything from guidance about sex toy shopping and quickies for co-sleepers to raw personal stories about our sex lives. And our cover girl is a fave around here: Catherine Reitman of Workin’ Moms. When she sat down with our writer, she was stressing about her turn to get snacks for her kid’s sports team: “I also got Gatorade, but now I’m worried they’re all going to think that’s a sugary drink. Do you think I f*cked up? It doesn’t have to be organic, but I don’t know. I grew up on Oreos and Doritos!”
And the conversation went from there, getting real about sex, her show, and marriage post-kids. Enjoy!

I Caught My Kid Googling Porn. Now What? ([link removed])
Gillian Telling recently lived through the situation some of us are all too familiar with: Her kid Googled “naked lady” and, surprise surprise, immediately found porn. “My first instinct was to yell at my son about how wrong that was, how he can’t be trusted with electronics, and how he should have known better,” she writes. “As punishment, I told him we would take away the iPad. I put on all the parental controls I could — my fault for not having them on in the first place — then stuck it on top of the refrigerator where I said he could have it back… never.” Was that the right response? She investigated, and you’ll want to know what she learned.
