John,
The news out of Turkey and Syria is devastating after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the region early yesterday morning. Already, more than 7,000 people have died and the death toll is expected to climb -- leaving rescuers to work around the clock trying to find additional survivors.
Our friends at the Center for Arab American Philanthropy are collecting Disaster Relief donations to help deliver a comprehensive emergency response to save lives and provide water, sanitation, shelter, and food to the thousands impacted by this natural disaster.
Click here to make a donation to the Center for Arab American Philanthropy Disaster Relief Fund today to assist with humanitarian aid at this critical moment.
Countries around the world are rallying to assist rescue and aid efforts with the United States sending two search and rescue teams, and others including Australia and New Zealand committing to millions of dollars in humanitarian relief.
Snow and freezing temperatures are impeding the emergency response efforts and impacting the thousands of individuals who are injured and have lost their homes and businesses. Please, rush a donation today to assist with disaster relief in Turkey and Syria.
Whether it’s at home or abroad, we will never stop working to protect those most in need.
In solidarity,
Rashida
