After Kevin McCarthy and the House GOP voted to kick Ilhan off the Foreign Affairs Committee last week, we weren't quite sure what to expect.

We knew that our movement had stood together at tough times like these before, but the support we've seen from our district and across the country has been nothing short of incredible.

The phones in our office have been ringing off the hook. Thousands upon thousands of messages of encouragement flooded in via social media.

And just as the news broke, Bill in Minneapolis made a $25 donation to our campaign.

Just a few seconds later, Margarita in Tempe, Arizona added their $10, too. Then it was Patricia in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, with $2.50 more…and we were off to the races.

As we said, it's been incredible. But we know that we cannot slow down. The attacks from the right wing and the corporate PACs who fund them are just beginning — and we need to be ready for what's ahead of us on this campaign.

We know $5 doesn't seem like the kind of money that can make a difference, but believe us when we say that it all adds up. Especially when an entire nationwide movement like ours is standing together.
