During Black History Month, we're highlighting influential Black voices and organizations who have made an impact on health equity and policy.

Camara Phyllis Jones, family physician and epidemiologist, is known for her allegory, "A Gardener's Tale." It was seminal in explaining the three levels of racism (institutionalized, personally mediated, and internalized) and the impacts on health. Jones currently serves on Health Affairs' Health Equity Advisory Committee.
