Tonight, President Biden will deliver the State of the Union to Congress
(you can tune in at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST).

This address is an annual opportunity for the President to share their
Administration’s priorities, challenges, and new initiatives with
Americans. Here are some of the issues Katie hopes to hear President Biden
address:

📈 Jobs: The most recent jobs report showed that more jobs have been added
in the past two years than during any other presidential term. We are the
party that will deliver a strong economy that works for working people,
but we have more to do–like making sure big corporations pay their fair
share of taxes so that you don’t have to pick up the slack.

❌ Social Security: Extremist politicians are eyeing cuts to Social
Security under the guise of reducing the deficit—even though, by law, the
program adds $0 to our national debt. We must protect Social Security.

🍳 Inflation: From eggs to gas to prescription drugs, prices are high while
corporations report record profits. We must crack down on corporate
monopolies and price-gouging.

🌎 Climate: We need to do more to address climate change. Katie’s bill to
raise fees on polluters was signed into law last year, but Congress needs
to do more to fight against Big Oil and other major polluters.

Whether Republicans are willing to work with us to address these issues or
not, Katie will keep doing everything she can to fight for working people.
