Hello neighbor,

We’ve been working hard in Lansing for a little over a month now and I’m incredibly proud of the work that we’ve accomplished so far. In the short amount of time we’ve been in session, the Senate has passed legislation to repeal the pension tax, expand the Earned Income Tax Credit, and put millions of dollars back into the pockets of seniors and working families across our great state. This is just the beginning of our work, and I’m excited to see what else we can accomplish with our new leadership.

I will be keeping you informed with bi-weekly updates that will briefly go over what we’re working on in the legislature, what community events I have planned, and any other information that I feel is important for District 4 to have. I find it imperative to stay in constant communication with my constituents, and I hope to keep you in the loop with the latest developments out of our State Capitol.

I’d also like to thank everyone who came out to our Western Wayne New Majority Town Hall at the Belleville Library last week. It was so great to hear from my neighbors about what we can do to solve the issues that matter most, and I look forward to learning more about how I can be of service to the Wayne, Romulus, Sumpter, Van Buren, and Belleville communities.

For my Downriver neighbors, I will be hosting a Town Hall with Rep. Jaime Churches this Wednesday from 7 – 8 pm. I look forward to discussing why our first pieces of legislation are important to our Downriver communities, and what we can do going forward to be of service to our region. This is going to be a great opportunity to have your voice heard in regards to what direction you want to see our state heading.
