Liberals Temporarily Withdraw Hunting Rifle Ban
Hello John,

Last week the Liberals on the parliamentary committee studying Bill C-21 WITHDREW and temporarily paused the amendments that would have banned millions of hunting rifles and shotguns owned by hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Canadians.

Thanks to the efforts of Conservatives, grassroots firearms owners, hunters, farmers, sport-shooters, and Indigenous groups, the government was forced to abandon these divisive and unjust bans.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre speaks to media after the temporary withdrawal of the Liberal Hunting Rifle Ban.
After eight years, Canadians are sick and tired of Justin Trudeau’s divide and conquer approach. There is no doubt the Liberals will try this again. This is just a temporary pause. We will not let up, and we will never let Trudeau ban hunting rifles.

In the coming weeks we expect the Liberals to reintroduce watered-down amendments banning many of the same makes and models as they originally listed, and to continue to lay blame for rising gun violence at the feet of trained, tested, and vetted Canadians instead of criminals and gangsters using illegal firearms.

Conservatives will continue to oppose this cynical political theatre, and instead propose real solutions for fighting gun crime and violence in our communities. Recently I spoke about the urgent need for bail reform to get repeat violent offenders off of our streets:
My speech in the House of Commons on the pressing need for bail reform and an end to Liberal soft-on-crime policies.
Over the last few months, tens of thousands of proud Canadian hunters wrote to their MPs, attended townhalls, organized petitions and told Canadians the truth about Justin Trudeau's agenda.

My Conservative colleagues and I advocated for firearms owners in our ridings, online, in the media, and in Parliament at every opportunity.

We need to keep up the momentum. If you are able,
please donate here. Grassroots donations to political parties receive generous tax credits. A $400 donation only costs about $100 after credit.

Thank you for considering a contribution. You have my word that Conservatives will continue to stand up for the rights of hunters, farmers, and sport-shooters.

Working hard for you,
