RED ALERT! The Trump Administration has proposed new rules that will slash $2.6 billion from Social Security disability benefits.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that thousands who rely on SSDI to survive could lose benefits, "not because their conditions have improved and they can now work, but because of the administrative and paperwork hurdles it will create."
Disabled Americans will be forced through lengthy eligibility reviews as often as every 6 months.
The federal government is accepting public comments through the end of January on these inhumane proposals.

Rural Americans will be hit hard by these changes, as rural residents are twice as likely to rely on disability benefits than urban Americans.
In the 1980s, the Reagan Administration implemented similar rules. Over 200,000 lost their benefits and 21,176 died after being removed from the rolls. Massive public outrage forced Reagan to reverse course.
Six PAC endorsed candidate J.D. Scholten urged supporters to take action, saying “Make your voice heard by submitting a public comment on this rule change.”
