Last year was incredible. From raising the minimum wage to $15/hr in deeply conservative Nebraska to expanding Medicaid to over 40,000 people in South Dakota, 2022 was the busiest and most successful year our team at the Fairness Project has ever had .

We are so proud of all the work we were able to do to help voters across the country use direct democracy to enact real change in their community. But now, we’re gearing up for 2023 – and we need your help.

While ballot initiatives have a proven track record of progressive wins, it can often take months or even years to get a question up for a vote. Whether it’s conducting polling to gauge public opinion or gathering petition signatures, it takes a LOT of work to put a ballot campaign together.
