A democracy is only as strong as its public programs- and no program has served the public better than Social Security. Most of us will live for years on Social Security, and there’s a reason it’s wildly popular—it’s a simple, universal program that keeps its promise to every American! Yet Republican politicians have spent nearly a century trying to dismantle one of our governments most valuable processes. Make sure your representative isn’t among them! Demand your member take the pledge to never cut Social Security or Medicare!

Right now, Republicans in Congress are holding the debt ceiling hostage, and many of them are only willing to let the United States pay its bills if President Biden agrees to cut Social Security or Medicare. We cannot let that happen.

Social Security isn’t an “entitlement”. It’s a program working Americans PAY FOR. It’s the plan B every American funds with their own labor. The program is so beloved that even Donald Trump wouldn’t touch it! Not so Speaker McCarthy, who has made no secret about his gleeful desire to dismantle the stability that millions of Americans rely upon. Make sure the Republican plan to destroy social security does not succeed! Contact your Congressional representative and ensure they are protecting our future!

Social Security must be protected. When Republicans last held power under the previous President they used it to give trillion-dollar tax giveaways to millionaires and billionaires. Now they want to make the rest of us pay for it by dismantling a Social Security system we all paid into. Do not let them! Contact your Member of Congress, and demand they take the pledge to protect Social Security for all the years to come!
